Journey in-to BITS - to B.E. or BTECH...

At last i found some time to come back to what i love to do the most...chitchat...or in normal parlance...give gyaan...

Well...never in my life i have been this lucky...i shud really say that, hmmm of 915 ppl in India who made it to Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani fondly known as BITS-Pilani.

Wow think of all the legacy i will carry till i am alive...me joining an esteemed...DEEMED institute...i felt really elated...

But the journey to it was not easy...no...it was a loooooooooong and Arduous one...

I never aspired to get into BITS-Pilani, forget alone the name...i never knew that anything about this institute..

It was all sealed the day i gave my exam to join my college...wherein ...i was RANK 116/120...Whew...nearly just made it...that was in retrospective 2yrs before the BITS.

All my life...i was reminded of the professional life...what it means to be really be the one...with Professional Service... Well being one with the bourgeois, one can calmly say... there is nothing better than I.I.T.. so prepare for the same...

So did i....along with countless other souls... whose only salvation is when they see their hall ticket number on paper of selection. I prepared only for an Yr...then left it to FATE...

But FATE had something else in store... and i was nearly there... in Mathematics and Chemistry, but Physics played spoiled sport... As i look back i am happy that not being really good at something... sometimes pays off...

At that time....BITS-Pilani, used to take only the Percentiles or simply put state rankers....

I did mention that i was lucky...really....for i secured Rank 11...Cheers...
and my classmates did even better... ;)

FRENCH Propelled me to reach a place in DESERT...and be 124th Person in India to secure an admission to BITS-Pilani. Je Suis Content...

Whew....i ought to be more serious into this blogging...seems like i have a complete lackadaisical attitude........well MBA does that 2 one person...

My apologies to all the ppl doing good work in MBA....

well what 2 say...let me go ahead with the next phase....Intermediate (Pre-Univ)

Hmmm i was aspirational...(as it goes, who isn't)..:)

Well IIT's being an aspiration...which can't be told in words...(so writing sentences...ok ok i know it is a bad joke...but then y care..;))

so here's my prep for the same...

1. Got Brilliant Material (http://www.brilliant-tutorials.com/iit-jee-delhi.html)
2. Studied from M.L.Khanna, I.E.Iridov, P.L.Soni...
3. Got into a College which was integrated...as per em...into IIT also...

Now after all dis...i cudnt get enuf time to go for pre-univ studies...but time proved otherwise...Somehow...!!!

Now i joined a college which was at Sanjeev Reddy Nagar(Also called Vengala Rao Nagar, Madura nagar...god knows wht else..???)

This was supposed to be college which is primitive in its reprimanding methods...and is really serious about studies....unfortunately for me...they were more into Textbook studies than innovating and application..:(

Wow....now coming to some rules and regulations of College

1.Should not wear T-shirts, Jeans, Sport Shoes (Nike, Power...hmmm branding was such an important thing...at least now)
2.Should always study and if found discussing anything other than subjects then u have to bear serious consequences.

Nut case is not a word anymore....once u r in....u change u r entire perception of the things around u....u r converted...into one of em....

Thankfully...i have not been a follower....NONCONFORMIST is moi and i intend..to be the same...atleast till i like to do something else...hehehehe..:D

Now lets go on to the relevant part, the subjects..

1. English - Phew "merci, merci" it is not everyday one cries out loud for not being able to speak in the right Tense...Perfectleee...add to that handwriting where in one cud see hieroglyphics....Voila there u r...an undecipherable masterpiece..so much so that i cant decipher it myself...Hey i had a hard time convincing my teacher about some words...which if interpreted correctly wud have spelt D.O.O.M for me...

2. French - The lesser said the better...this is something i always found amusing...a language where all the letter are in English and yet i am unable to understand anything... someone rightly said "It is all Greek to me", the politically correct person can add...French to the same...

3. Mathematics - of Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Calculus and Trigonometry...
"Where art thou oh! Issac Newton..." for my head is reeling and peeling ...who would imagine an integral and a differentiation done in 1666-68 would result in something which will change the pace of the world....Well there is already a conflict whether Leibniz's did the same...using ctrl+C nd ctrl+V (independently) or Mutually exclusive...

4. Physics - Learnt the laws- newtons, keplars, thermodynamics, etcetera...
Even did problems from Sears and Zemansky's University Physics, H.C Verma, I.E.Iridov, and yeah Resnick nd Haliday...but everything is futile....the problems always eluded me...more so..they don't anymore as i am glad i left em...:D

5.Chemistry - Loved Organic stuff...and hated Inorganic...well what i hear is companies are not resorting to organic growth...and are more into inorganic...geez...when will people learn...if an acid nd base mix..they give water and salt...which means the organization will no longer retain its CORE Competency...
but consolidation is what they say and PH being more or less the same is being a great help for HR...u r either..adsorbed or absorbed...electrophilic or neucleophilic..take your pick...

6.Computers - Now that is interesting...all game and no study...Win3X...u gotta be kiddin me...or diggin...i played digger all the time...and maybe a solitaire here and there..

Now now...seems like i am warming up ... i did promise myself that i will be getting more percentage..than what i had got in my 10th...(y r ppl so foolish at young age..)

and i did the same...but that is the next story...

Schooling

Lets start with a story....

What makes it interesting is that it has been a quite a while since i pondered over how many different phases one goes through, before we get to that which appeals to our aesthetics and ambitions...

Phew lotsa unnecessary rabble gyaan already....lets start this from Schooling...

Hmmmm....is what i can hum and SIGH....!!!! Dream that i can make some amends to atleast somethings....

Bhavan's Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya...does that sound familiar...well even an average hyderabadi would not be able to tell that...(Ever wondered why South Indians have such long names for everything?)

Well to describe oneself is a difficult proposition...but i will do my best..

1. Sports - Not interested...(xcept Carroms courtesy my cousins..)

2. Books - Seen ppl reading Hardy Boys, Novels....was more interested in Tintin and Asterix

3. Television - Wow DD1...timeless, ageless slow recovery of actors and Ramanand Sagar's Magnum Opus: Ramayana, along wid B.R. Chopra's Mahabharata....

4. Cartoons - Ducktales and Tailspin...aaaaaand HE-MAN...wow that was great series...

5. Songs - now that i think of this, i owe my hindi is more less to Chitrahaar...and Rangoli...hehehe...:D

6. Movies - Well if you consider cinema only at a theater...then i can count the movies i went for using my fingers...and maybe some toes...hehehehe...;)..(IT Revolution is by far the best in terms of Entertainment...)

7. Studies - Well was good at Mathematics particularly Algebraic expressions...:P ....n Sciences...more towards Chemistry than Physics...for obvious reasons...
